Cutting plastic skirting joints?

I want to use this with mitre box to cut joints in small plastic 80mm height skirting board. Is it suitable for cutting this material using a mitre box?

Will this cut through a polished chrome wardrobe rail?

Hello Thank you for your question, Yes this will cut polished chrome wardrobe rail, i always put a piece of masking tape on the rail where I'm going to cut because its easier to see where you have marked it and your blade wont scratch the pole. Thank you for using the Screwfix Q&A service

Hello Mar911, Depending on the exact material this should be able to do it though you'll get a better cut from a specific metal cutting blade with high TPI. Thank you for using Q&A
