Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuts a composite kitchen sink I bought this drill bit to cut a sinktap hole in a granite composite kitchen sink I used water in the hole and kept the drill speed down below 900 as advised on the packaging. Overall it took about 10 minutes with a few water changes to successfully drill though from the underside It won't drill through granite but it will drill though granite composite. It should last a lifetime unless you make a habit of fitting kitchen sinks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tap hole needed Decided to replace the kitchen sink and after careful reading, decided drilling the tap hole would be better than punching. Fitted drill easily, very smooth finish. Only used once so not sure how durable it will be over time.

The picture doesn’t show a pilot drill. Does this need a pilot hole to centre the hole saw to drilling. Finally is this suitable for drilling a tap hole in a ‘Gelcast’ basin?

Asked by: BUS58
Hello BU S58 Thank you for your enquiry. There is no pilot drill but it is recommended to use a purpose made guide or some people use a piece of wood with the same diameter hole cut out. I would advise speaking with the manufacturer of the sink for guidance. Hope that helps. Thank you for using Q&A.

hi, does this need anything additional parts to connect it to a drill? Does the barrel go straight into a drill?

Asked by: alexSM
Hi AlexSM, This drill does not require any additional fittings to go into a drill with a 3-jaw chuck. Thank you for using Q&A. PB
