Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect solution! Wonderful to bridge the insulation & air gap behind my plasterboard and get a normal fixing into the masonry for heavy duty fixing. My best find this year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a find! Stumbled across these when looking for other fixings. Absolutely brilliant, and made the securing of cabinets so easy. Didn't need the drill bit, but it's a useful length anyway. Would get again for the next diy cabinet job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are genius These are such a great idea, far FAR better than the traditional angled metal brackets that come with kitchen units. Very easy to use. The included drill bit is ok, not that good at drilling through the cabinet back (I used a standard wood drill for that), and it can be a bit narrow for certain types of real plug, so I often ended up moving the cabinet to use a bigger drill bit to fit a big real plug or plasterboard fitting. But for marking the right place on the wall it’s great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Space plugs I love these second time I've used them this year. Well worth the extra money simple to use I would also recommend that you check the depth of the caverty on your carcass as the regulars may only just work. If the wall runs out they may not bridge across.

Would you use 2 per unit like traditional brackets or one in the centre?

I am thinking, just the one is needed
Asked by: DS99
One of the beauties of Space-Plug !! ... just one in the middle will work fine ... replace 4 screws / 2 L Brackets with 1 Space-Plug and one screw... if you want to go off centre to find a wall stud or miss electrics no problem ... Recommend to put 2 in a 800mm wide or above ... hope that helps and we think you'll like how easy they are to use!! Many thanks for the enquiry :)

What screw size is needed

Asked by: Bmck
Hello ... apologies but didn't receive a notification of your question ... heads will roll !!! It's difficult to inform on the screw sixe as with the adjustability of space-plug and the depth of the item to be fixed the length of fixing varies ... for the regular size ... a common gap is 35mm , plus 18mm for the rear cross brace of the cabinet ... probably a 100mm x 5mm screw is fine ... 47mm in the wall bit overkill but 80mm probably a bit short... hope that's made it a bit clearer, sincere apologies for the delay and very much hope you found Space-Plug fast and easy ... all my very best ... Cliff :)

What size screws and plugs will I need?

Asked by: Hunterr85
Hi Hunter 85, Screw size is slightly dependentent on what depth you set your Space-Plug to..... but my guess is a 5 x !00mm screw will work well for you and just your normal red or brown plugs.

what thickness screw does this product take

im looking to use these and 7.5 self drill screws will the plugs take this . as i do see you provide a size six drill . self drill screws need to be 1.5 bigger
Asked by: aspired
Apologies for the delay in answering... The bore on the Space-Plugs is 6.5mm - so suitable for any fixing upto 6mm but sadly not wide enough for 7.5 mm concrete screws...
