Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very useful hoover I use this for the first time today to hoover the car. I wanted to use it before writing a review. I had full charged 5.0ah battery in it and it lasted over the half hour run time on full setting so on low setting I’m sure it would last an hour like makita says it does. It surprised me how powerful it is for a battery powered hoover, I have it mainly for dust extraction and have no doubt it’s more than up to the job. There are some downsides though, mine didn’t come with the filter sock that covers the main filter, it looks like you get it separately but some people got it with their hoovers. Lack of attachments, you get two attachments with it just for basic hoovering, you can’t attach it to tools without the adaptors. I’d rather makita add them in and charge a little extra. Apart from that it’s a good hoover being let down by lack of accessories.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not quite the ticket I bought this specifically for use on scaffolding whilst using a vacuum sanding block. As I have Makita batteries I though this would be the answer. Despite the decibel rating at full power 74db? this is exceptionally noisy. Like most trades I use the vacuum with a smiley face because it is bagged and contains the dust. This vacuum has a drum veined filter which instantly blocks up and needs a vacuum to clean it (ironic). I tried to convert it to a bagged vacuum to have double filtration but because of the internal arrangement of the intake it is not possible. It still has a use for picking up bits but I still find myself carrying a 240volt proper vacuum cleaner as I do a lot of sanding and found that really this is designed for short occasional use. After having said all this, it is compact and a lovely design but feel for dust control Makita should consider a bagged version of the same thing. It also makes a handy table as it is flat on top or a seat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing value I purchased the makita vacuum for my van and excavator as it was easier than getting the hoover out every 10mins I was surprised on the power of it well worth the money

Wet function

Is this suitable for sucking up water?
Asked by: banjo557865

What about the wet filter?

Bit of a con Be warned You will need a wet filter with this vac if you want to use for liquids continuously as a plumber might. So Screwfix I need the wet filter product code 191M39 -3 which is sold separately. Do you have the filter available?

Anti static

Is this suitable for anti static situations, ie to clean out computers?
Asked by: Slippytit
Don't waste your time with a hoover for cleaning computers, you want an air compressor. Buy a low psi one, or put a regulator on one and keep it under 90 psi or so. You'll also want a moisture trap/filter to stop blowing moisture over your computers circuitry. Ex I.T. specialist over 20+ years
