Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad but..... Having used umpteen different types of gloss over the years and reading the reviews I thought I'd give it a try. Pro's - Very bright, very quick drying, OK to apply Con's - can buy just as good big brand cheaper elsewhere, nothing special, not especially easy (although not especially hard) to apply but had to put three coats on to feel it had a good enough finish. I've had to buy more of this than expected as a result which has pushed the cost of my project way over what I would have paid using a big brand. No idea about how it will wear yet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best around Good size, good price, great finish. Leyland has become my preference for all decorating jobs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Go to paint This is my standard white gloss. Perhaps not as shiny as oil based but does not yellow even in a conservatory at 100 degrees plus in the Summer and South facing sunshine. Dries super fast, almost too quickly. Don’t go back over the first side of a window sill when you have finished the other side. Otherwise tram lines - it goes off that quickly. Brilliant stuff for a quick painter. Peter

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 coats needed Used on an outside door frame, good bright white colour, drys well, but needed 2 coats ( I was just hoping I could get away with 1, never mind ). I do recommend.

Can this be used on external metal garage door

Asked by: Spamfritterman
Hello Spamfritterman Yes it can, if there is any bare metal it requires priming with an anti-corrosive primer, then once dry apply a single coat of Leyland Trade Fast Dry Undercoat, followed by one or two coats of the gloss. Thank you

Can this be used on MDF and would it need an undercoat?

Asked by: JonD75
Hello JonD75 The Leyland Trade Fast dry Undercoat can be used as a primer and an undercoat before applying the Leyland Trade Fast Dry Gloss. The system for bare surfaces is always a three coat system, a primer, undercoat, then you final decorative finish. Thank you

Hello there, would this paint suit a previously painted external wooden fence?

Asked by: Fencepainter27
Hello Fencepainter27 Fencing is usually relatively cheap and thin timber that we really recommend is coated using specific Shed and Fence tretaments. The gloss can be applied to timber, but that is usually a good grade timber, that is fully sealed away from moisture.

Can I use this to paint over oil-based gloss?

The oil based gloss was used over a month ago but there is still a smell lingering which is bothersome. Can I paint straight over it with this? Will it mask the old paint smell?
Asked by: Nats111
Hello Nats111 Rather than repaint, I would say increase both ventilation and circulation if possible. Given a month has passed, the odour should be pretty much gone - however this type of odour can get caught in soft furnishings. Should you wat to repaint, you would need the Fast Dry Undercoat first, along with through preparation. Thank you
