Integration with thermostat
If you have a Hive thermostat and hub, can some kind of rule be created in the app to turn on one of these smart plugs?
For example: If temperature drops below 19, turn on smart plug.
Temperature then increases to 19, turn off the smart plug.

Hi there, you certainly can :) If you've got the Hive Active Heating, our Hub and one of our Smart Plugs you'll be able to set up an Action. For example: if the temperature rises above 25° then turn on the plug and you can then set the duration for this. You can also do the same if the temperature dips too low, just as you've described. Do I still need to get a hub?
I have an Alexa studio with built in zigbee hub, will I still need to get the hive hub to use these plugs or will the studio work with and control the plugs without the added expense of the hive hub?
Many thanks.

Hi DPM67,
Yes our Hive active plugs work with the Alexa hub devices without requiring a Hive hub. Please note the functionality will be limited to voice activation commands that you will see available in the Alexa app - for full functionality you would require to get a Hive hub.
Thanks

Is it possible to add a remote switch for this?
I want to be able to control my decks lights which are plugged into a socket in my garage. To save having to always access the app is there a remote switch that can be added to switch the plug on and off? Thanks

Unfortunately, we do not have a hardware remote switch available - however you are able to use Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa to control this using voice. Alternatively via an iOS device you are able to create quick actions via your shortcuts.
