Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Useful Craft Stuff I know this is supposed to be for lagging pipes, but we use it for craft work, both for us and the grandkids; it is cheap, excellent quality, easy to cut and glue, and for less than £1/m, excellent value for money. P.S. I have used it for it's intended purpose in the loft a few years ago, and it worked perfectly through nasty frosts.

Does it produce any fumes when the pipe heats?

I just want to confirm that it can be used indoors for pipes behind the radiator that are making clicking noise and they don't produce any fumes when the pipe heats up.

Thermal conductivity

Can you please explain what the "improved thermal conductivity" refers to? The product is promoted as a thermal insulator, so why would it be a good thing to have improved thermal conductivity? Should it say "reduced thermal conductivity" instead?

Will it repel rainwater or is boxing also required around the pipes? And what glue is needed?

What is the outside diameter? Could you put this in more info?

Hello, Thank you for your enquiry. The 13mm dimension is the wall thickness of this product. Consequently the outside diameter will be approximately 13 + 15 + 13 = 41mm. Hope that helps. Thank you for using Q&A.
