Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement thermostat Bought to replace old style thermostat, has more features and much easier to use. Have yet to try it in anger in winter but start up options look useful and it looks quite smart. Only issue is it fits over and standard back box but is narrower height wise and so some of back box need filling and painting .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money Was going to buy a cheaper digital thermostat but this is so much more. It doesn't wait for a drop in temperature but maintains a constant temperature. It does this by running the boiler for shorter bursts (which is also more efficient). Screwfix should be advertising this feature! My temperature at home is noticably more consistent.

Some interesting features, such as the start-up method,which enables the thermostat to 'learn' when to switch on to achieve the set temp by a specific time. Good, clear display and all touch controls work well. Can be locked to prevent accidental 'adjustments'

TP5000si?

Will this thermostat automatically connect up with the receiver in replacment of the TP5000si ? Or do have have to change wiring etc

The TPOne-B is a battery powered unit with hard wired switching, therefore it is not a wireless unit. For your application we would recommend the TPOne-RF + RX1-S, or the TP5001RF + RX1-S.

Can this be used as a direct replacement for a Danfoss TP5 battery powered programmable thermostat?

The TPOne-B is a battery powered programmable thermostat, just like the discontinued TP5, therefore you can use the TPOne-B in its place. The backplate, however will need to be changed as the design is different.

The TPOne-B is a hard wired version, the wireless version is TPOne-RF + Receiver part number 087N785400. I hope this helps, Paul Earl.
