Can this item be use in "Zone 2" in a bathroom?
I appreciate that the item is not moisture ingress IP rated but as this item is transformer isolated I wanted to ask the question above.
Thank you and congratulations on your 100 years of quality electrical fittings.

Hello. Our shaver supply unit is rated IP2X and conforms to BS EN 61558-2-5. The minimum degree of protection for equipment installed in zones 1 and 2 is IPX4, or IPX5 where water jets are likely to be used for cleaning purposes. The shaver supply unit/shaver socket (complying with BS EN 61558-2-5) is an exception to this requirement, despite it not meeting the requirements of IP4X, it is permitted in zone 2 but must be located where direct spray from showers is unlikely. Thank you for your interest in our Crabtree brand.
