Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what it says on the tin! I bought this to clean down before applying sealant, expectin a solvent cleaner that would evaporate quickly leaving the surface dry after a, wipe down. This product is not it, it does notreadily evaporate and I had to wipe it off. After reading other reviews I see it leaves an oily film.will this mess up the seal I don't know but I wish I had bought brake cleaner instead. It smells nicer and the high is better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Used in a bathroom after a total renovation. Lots of greasy marks and silicone residue on cladding walls, I gave up initially with cleaning products. Ordered this and next attempt to clean was so much easier. Everything wiped off miracilously. Spray (leave to soak for tougher stains) and then wipe off, sometimes needs a bit of scrubbing but this spray penetrates the stains. Definitely recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leaves An Oily Residue Very good cleaner but leaves on oily residue which is very strange for a solvent cleaner. If you clean a whiteboard or other surface, you then have to use another cleaner to remove the oily film that's left.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good stuff Does the job - had tried acetone, isopropanol, and was about to break out the ethyl acetate but tried this and bingo! Dissolved the commercial adhesive on the sound damping panels and wiped clean within 5 minutes. Doesn't smell much at all.

Will this resolve a thick layer of spray adhesive?

I've tried peeling it off, going to take forever. Need something to spray on that dissolve the old adhesive so I can wipe and wash it off.
Asked by: Cocat2517
Hi Cocat. It very much depends what type of adhesive you're trying to remove. There are some adhesive types that would require more specialised products (RS Components sell Mykal Adhesive Cleaner that I would recommend). This product will remove light layers of light adhesives but may not work well on thick layers or heavy duty adhesives.

Does this work as a pre paint degreaser/solvent?

Asked by: Resedent2006
Hi Resendent2006, to use this before painting we would advise to rinse the surface with clean soapy water after application as it can leave a residue. We also recommend to test on an inconspicuous area before use. Hope this helps!
