Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job Bought these to secure the bathroom door to keep my autistic son out, when unsupervised. They do the job but... You will need both a 16mm flat wood drill bit and an 8mm drill bit to install them. I chose to pay more for the white version so it blended in with the door. Annoyingly the included screws aren’t sprayed white like the rest of the unit is. Weirdly the bit which is buried inside the door is white. Anyway.... it does the job but the silver screws clash horribly with the white unit on the door. May as well have bought silver as at least the screws would have blended in with that.

What distance is the centre of the star key hole from the front plate?

I want to purchae as a replacement for bolt where star key centre is 32mm from front plate.

What's the backset on these please? Thats the distance from the centre of the key hole to the front of the mounting plate.

Will these work on thin doors (18mm MDF cup'd). If not - what would work?
