Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works with Evolution track + Works well with Evolution ST2800 2 x 1400mm Circular Saw Rails (516HG) + really is universal - I mounted a old and non-standard powercraft router. - Not designed for routing close the work peices edge (which I needed to mount library strip). - lifts the router another ~3mm from the work, and dosn't support this in the centre. I made a stand off from 3mm hardboard.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fits Festool Rail The good thing about this Track Adapter is that it fits the Festool rail system. I've got a cheap JCB router and while the base plate of the adapter is designed for titan, it's a simple job to drill a couple of holes to attach different routers. In use I got perfect straight lines with no jumping. What I can't get my head round is the channel the blade is made to run in. So if you're working on a 50mm wide piece, there is no support. Even the manual states not to use it on narrow pieces or close to the edge. What do you use routers for? Anyway, I solved this by getting a 6mm piece of slippy plastic (OK, the base plate of my router) and fixing it into the channel, making a flush base. Now it's perfect.

Can this be used with Makita rails?

Asked by: Craggiestu

Does this work with the erbauer tracks

Asked by: Benedict1222

can the router base plate be adapted to any router

Asked by: Minder52
It only took a few minutes to drill a couple of holes in the guide to allow me to mount my cheap JCB router. Now I have a set-up equal to something costing £500 or more.

Guide rails included?

Guide rails for this adapter are not listed separately and the adapter description does not mention that guide rails need to be purchased so does the adapter come with the guide rails? How long are the rails and Can they be extended ?
Asked by: Ivornoname
This doesn't come with the track. The Triton track's Screwfix code is 9727R (2x700mm tracks). The tracks CAN be joined. This will also be compatible with Makita tracks. I know this as I've got the Batavia version of the Triton/Makita track saw which I use with Triton tracks, so I have investigated this compatibility issue fully. The Festool track doesn't have the anti tilt bit that runs on the inside of the outermost T-track (furthest from the cutline). Apart from the anti-tilt the Festool tracks are the same as the others, but because of this small difference, the router adaptor may not work with the Festool tracks. Sheppach, Dewalt, Mafell etc are different, so avoid those if you get this. If you buy the rails, I would highly recommend getting the tracksaw to complete the system. It's very handy for a multitude of tasks, although it excels at breaking down sheet goods.
