Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't accept surface boxes Trunking is a simple product. It's a plastic channel running around a room and apart from size the only real consideration for most people is whether sockets will be in the trunking or next to it. I wanted the sockets in the trunking to be a bit neater so I specifically selected this as it explicitly says "Accepts 1 & 2 Gang 32mm Surface Boxes". This does not accept 1 and 2 gang surface boxes. After a bit of head scratching about whether they thought I could drill right through the surface box and trunking into the wall behind to hold it steady I did some searching only to find that what they mean is that they have an adapter that takes the cable out of the top or bottom of the trunking so you can put a surface box next to it. That is not accepting a surface box. That is worse than narrow trunking with a box next to it and considerably worse than real trunking. So now I am ripping this all out to put a proper solution in.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works OK ,very fiddly to fit Nice enough when assembled and certainly does what it claims BUT:- When you get to site you will have a bundle of bits and nothing to tell you how to put them together. Every joint, external and internal corners , butts and sockets will have a different fit up and you will have to discover each yourself. As others have said a simple page of instructions cant be too hard , can it ?? Even Google does not know how to put this together. Then the "knockouts " in the boxes? Dont even think about it . You will break the box before you manage the knockout. I had to drill and Jigsaw. The corners (internal and external) do not feel secure . I feel that glue will be needed. I took two days to fit perimeter sockets around my daughters 4m x 3m conservatory and it should have been no more than a days work tops. Then the colour ?? Fit some lovely standard sockets from your preferred manufacturer and you will find that the colour will not match. I tried 3 makes of double sockets and the all looked cream against the bright white of the trunking. This system would not be my first choice again. But you dont know that until you have obtained and started to cut the material. It will be OK, even looks good but the job has not been a pleasure, and it is not one for the average DIY man to tackle .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Skirting Trunking Great product, very neat when completed, interfaces well with back boxes etc and other trunking systems. would benefit from a single page of instructions. Would use again and recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wire Carrier If you need to run a few cables at skirting/ ceiling level or indeed on a vertical run, then this is ideal. I tend to think plastic trunking is over priced at the best of times but if you compare the price of this against other trunking for the same length it is on par. As far as fitting sockets, this is called skirting trunking, not dado trunking. The former is for running wires, the latter is for sockets and wires. Generally I find this suited my purpose exactly, which was to run a number of wires at once, without having to run multiple lengths of narrower conduit.

How flexible is this trunking?

Specifically, if I have a 1330 mm length, lying flat on a table, would I be able to displace the centre by 90 mm while keeping it flat on the table? That is, the displacement is in the direction of the 100 mm dimension, not the 25 mm dimension. Thanks!

Thank you for the enquiry this will not bend that far

What are the internal dimensions and why can you not put heating pipes in the trucking?

What are the internal dimensions, depth and height of each section, and why does another answer say heating pipes cannot be installed in the trunking?
Asked by: ggpowell2
Thank you for your inquiry. the internal measurements for the Tower 100 x 25mm trunking are approximately top section 22 x 18mm , middle 45 x 18mm and bottom 20 x 18mm. Max operating temperature is +60°C, and along with the expansion and contraction – it is not suitable for heating pipes.
