Rated 5 out of 5 by from superb . An excellent drill ,unpacked no problems ,a simple job to assemble in a few minutes and well worth the price ,extremely powerful with the 700w motor ,tried several speeds in different materials with some pretty big forstner bits and hole cutters ,it went through everything with ease ,the keyless chuck is a big bonus too ,all in all i would rate it as an excellent machine. just be sure to check your space is high enough as it is a tall drill .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed and returned The good and bad. Today I returned my third of these drills to Screwfix, the third in 5 days. The first was clearly someone else's return and I didn't even bother putting it together the following two have had a number of faults the main one being that at about 40 - 45mm drilling depth the internal gear jolts and or locks then releases, a smooth drilling action is not possible; I didn't bother actually putting a drill bit in it as it was simply not acceptable. In addition on the second one it took 3 or 4 minutes to release the overly fiddly screw to open the belt cover and in addition to this on the third one the micro-switch preventing the motor from running when the cover was opened was so far away from the operating pin (until I moved it) that it just added to my feeling that these things are thrown together. It's not top end I know that but you do expect some level of care and thought to have gone into construction. I'm no precision engineer but I know when something simply isn't going to last. The good however, is that the service from the various members of staff at the Coleshill branch has been exceptional. It's actually embarrassing having to go back more than once even when its not you're fault but from sales staff to manager they have been extremely professional, have listened and looked and have fully understood. I've never in the past been disappointed by Screwfix and in this case whilst the product has let them down the way the staff have dealt with me has ensured that I will without hesitation continue to be a customer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Delivery problems This drill is great and I would really like one. However, after having built and disassembled three of them, I'm pretty much fed up and took my money back. First one, motor cowl damaged. Second, cowl minor damage but motor mount bent. Third, great condition, but wouldn't run. The screwfix organisation is great and I had drill up and down my drive on a daily basis. However, in this case, the kit doesn't do the brand any favours.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality, or a a bad one? Really very disappointed with this. After watching a review online, I had high hopes, but the machine I took delivery of this morning falls very short. The box and packaging looks like it has been in a car crash, for starters. There were two nuts missing from the package, and no Allen keys. No matter how I try the headstock with not slide far enough down the pillar to have both grub screws engaged. The top cover has taken a real bump at some stage, and both of the fasteners are seized. The action of the pillar itself is terrible with clicks and grinding along the way. I've yet to even start the thing up, but so far so bad. A real shame as I'm usually so delighted with Screwfix products. I really cannot recommend this item at all.
