My insurance states I have to have a) locks on all external doors, and any internal doors that give access to your store, are all to BS 3621
Hello zachwalker,
BS EN 3621 applies to applies to locks where the key is part of the case itself. A 5 lever sashlock would be an example of this. Cylinder locks are made to a different set of standards, BS EN 1303, and the cases they go into have another, BS EN 12209.
This lock is made to BS EN 1303 so it might be worth checking with your insurance company if they will accept these other standards if these locks are fitted, otherwise you will need to limit yourself to those locksets that have the mechanism as an integrated part of the case.
Thank you for using Q&A (CW)
