Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bandsaw This is my second bandsaw , the first one was the Titan, blade was not very good, could not find blades to fit so it was returned and replaced by a Scheppach this is a far superior bandsaw than the Titan. Customer service is second to none at Screwfix the returns are simple and hassle free, many thanks to Screwfix customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from replacement band saw ordered this as a replacement for 2 band saws which broke within 4 months of each other. only being a hobbyist for a short time I didn`t know what to look for initially but now comparing the 2 saws this is far superior, saws through wood with ease and give nice smooth accurate cuts. Reasonably easy to set up but the instructions were not that easy to follow and adjustments are needed to get it cutting just right. On the whole a very sturdy well built bit of kit but only having a few days I can`t yet tell what its lifespan will be

Rated 2 out of 5 by from junk to me I bought this saw about 2 months ago and have never been able to get the blade to run true. When I get it close to true the blade will rub the depth guide I have tried tightening the blade and loosening the blade iv tried the tracking wheel adjusted the blade guides top and bottom so to me it is junk oh and no its not my first time user on a band saw I can get a better cut with a jig saw Ps there are very limited setup instructions I had to go refer to you tube So if you are a beginner at band saws I would defo think twice on this saw

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Basa 1.00 Have been looking for a hobby bandsaw and having done extensive research settled on the Basa 1.00 and am impressed it is quite weighty with a cast table plus roller guides for the blade this is a lot of bandsaw for the money.Spent some time setting it up but worth the effort very accurate and easy cutting great piece of kit

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better.. Delivery was great but straight away I realised i was missing a packet of bolts so assembly we delayed by a few days while I sorted replacements. once I had all the components assembled I found that off the bat it needed a whole lot more calibration for anything resembling straight and accurate, and for that I had to rely on the internet as the instructions where poor. Once i got it up and running it was fine but the blade that came with it was poor. It gives a rough cut and on the third use i hit a nail in some recycled timber and it blunt the blade straight away. Dust extraction is pretty poor and the door locking screw is needlessly long - I had to cut it in half so as not to waste half an hour trying to screw it open or closed. All in all its been a lot more work than I anticipated but unfortunately I wasn't in a position to spend more on a better model. Ultimately you get what you pay for

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ridiculously bad band saw I would not recommend this product, the blade came off first time I used it, couldn't align the blade after and i'm still trying to get it back together. I have to get a job done too and buying this poorly designed product has really held me up. The user manual is ridiculously bad, no information in it or guide to maintenance. Stay clear, look for something better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy Cut This has saved me so much time, the last band saw I had (about 20 yrs old) was good, but I need something that would do that bit more. read 100 & 100's of reviews and this seamed to meet my requirements. spot on

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bench top bandsaw I was requiring a small bench top bandsaw to cut 8mm thick aluminium plates on a regular basis. This Scheppach Basa saw cuts the plate very easily (using a 14tpi 3/8" wide alternative blade). The saw is well built and reasonably sturdy with a cast iron table. The only problem I encountered was the rubber band on the lower drive pulley was not bonded correctly and I had to re-glue this to stop the band sliding off. Overall this saw is a good buy and saves me a lot of time and my cuts are a lot neater than sawing with a hacksaw!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for money Overall good. Supplied blade is average and the rip fence supplied is useless as it wanders all over the place however a replacement is on its way after a quick phone call and will hopefully solve this issue. Apart from that the build quality seems to be very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Bandsaw I'm a hobbyist getting into knife making, Need a bandsaw for shaping wooden knife scales. Had a cheap bandsaw and it went back it was rubbish! Immediately saw this has top quality components; very nicely set up when it arrived. Quality construction. Heavy cast iron table gives real stability. All the features a hobbyist could wish for. My only gripe is, I can't make the fence stay where it's supposed to. I'm sure it just needs adjusting. Would recommend this product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good budget band saw I checked around before buying and was not worried when I finally bought this item. The bandsaw is not a workshop star but is a good hobbist/DIY piece of kit.. having said that don't force it or the blade will slip off the wheels. Good toolable entry to interior with a good interlock for safety. I have not needed to get spare blades yet so I don't know about spares yet. Happy with it for what it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great DIY tool Solid and reliable, had no trouble with it after several months of use. I've found it to be useful in very many ways - more than I anticipated. Cuts well and easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent bandsaw, great value A well engineered bandsaw, easy to assemble and set up following supplied instructions. Cuts true and appears to have plenty of power.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awful machine Looked forwards to this arriving. Trying to tilt the table is an art in itself and a complete pain. Comstantly had to adjust blade tension to get the blade moving on startup. After using for a few days started to smell burning plastic so now its been boxed back up and they will be getting a phone call tomorrow to come and collect for a full refund. Never again will i touch this item

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Scheppach Basato 1 Like other reviewers I agree that a better quality blade improves the saw considerably. I have found that the saw performs well, and gives a good quality and accurate cut. This has been a very useful addition to my home workshop.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from my Basata 1 Doesn,t fullfill what I would like.Motor stalls even when cutting dry wood.Struggles when cutting shapes Ok for fine work but does not perform how I would like.I also found out I could not register my purchase as I live in the UK.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No Rack and Pinion It is a nice sturdy machine and seems good value for money. I can't comment on reliability as I have only just received it but I was very disappointed that it did not have the Rack and Pinion Table Tilt which was listed as one of its main features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a very good replacement I bought this saw to replace my ageing "Burgess BB2" purchase from Robinsons Tool Store Hull, circa 1970 still operable but tired. This replacement I found easy to set up and commenced to use without any problems a large improvement on my redundent"BB2. Saw blade", alignment and guides far superior and I am well pleased with the saw overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Excellent piece of kit. replacement for a Clarke 3 wheel blade shredder. Very easy to set up. You will need to replace the nasty blade that comes with this as standard. Screwfix do a very nice selection of blades that are good quality. I use this machine for cutting wooden gears for clocks. gives a very nice cut with lots of control. Has never grabbed and is blissfully quiet when running. Excellent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your time Was looking forward to this item. Looked good on arrival but as soon as I started to assemble it I realised that it's a very poor piece of equipment. Whole structure flexes under the slightest load; top guide adjustment is crude and flimsy, guide can move laterally a sixteenth of an inch when 'fixed', tacky piece of plastic behind top guide, which I think is supposed to retain dust, broke when I tried out the adjustment mechanism; poor finish on table. Haven't even bothered to connect it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from typical german quality As an ex toolmaker I am used to using professional equipment - this bandsaw scores in all respects, not the least it's 'professional' standard of saw guidance, which has no less than 6 bearings. An excellent buy, especially at the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from outstanding this bandsaw is very easy to set up and has many feature of the bigger machine i have no trouble in setting it up this was a replacment.for one ive had for about 5 year but you wont be dissapointed with this easy setup

Rated 5 out of 5 by from exellent hobby kit very good piece of kit . versatile bench top mounted saw which makes light work of all task inc scroll saw type challenges . one thing worth nothing like the other reviewer the saw blade provided is just a cheap china std blade but the one i ordered from scheppach was a genuine german blade & was like fitting a turbo to a car changed the machine overnight. the fence is solid & unknown to me i got a very usefull free mitre guide. i trully am a scheppach fan now.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dissapointing Looks good, easy to set-up but performance is poor. When ripping anything more than a few millimetres thick even with the blade correctly tensioned & guides set as per instruction the blade bends giving a "profiled" cut. Wouldn't recommend.
