Rated 3 out of 5 by from WC Pan Fixing Expensive but does the job and was available for collection at a local depot

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toilet Side Entry Pan Fixings Needed a sideways (not downwards) fixing to secure my new toilet pan. One hole each side. The floor is ceramic floor tiles on a concrete base. Saw these on the Screwfix site and Click and Collect had them in my hands within the hour. The two dimensional picture of the hard plastic brackets doesn't show that these are acute angled fixings designed for internal pan attachment. Position your pan in its final postion ( with cistern and soil pan pipe in place).Use a few strips of masking paper on the floor and mark the pan mounting hole position and outline the fixing , for reference. Do both sides. Move pan and all out of the way. Then put more masking tape on the adjacent internal area, opposite the external markings, leaving a gap for the thickness of the pan ceramic wall ( about a thick pencils width). Position the multi-hole bracket side facing up and out. Mark your floor mounting position through the slotted hole. Drill and fix rawplugs and bolt down. Now lift the pan over the top and lower down so the mounting holes are adjacent to the internal fixings- bit of heft needed here. Insert the mounting hole plastic liners, then use the smaller screws to attach through to the multi holed plate. This screws easily and comfortably. A good design. Cap the screw head with the plastic cover and job's done. Solid and rock steady, without the risk of over stressing the ceramic that comes with down fixings. The angled fixing brackets are rigid plastic. The floor mounting slot gives plenty of adjustment. The multi-hole side bracket takes up, feeds and locks the screws easily and at a good angle. The whole kit is easy to use and grabs the pan solidly. Worth the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Great One of the bolts sheared while I was tightening it by hand with a small wrench, so they're obviously not great quality. Otherwise it does the job.

How do get correct position so it sits hard against the inside of pan wall?

Asked by: Kendle

which way up should the brackets be used?

Which part of the blue plastic angled fixing plate should be fixed to the floor and which should stand vertically to accept the large side fixing screws? Is it the piece with 20 small pre drilled holes or the piece with single slot?

Suitable for fitting pedestal part of semi pedestal basin?

I am fitting a semi pedestal wall mounted basin, whilst I have the fittings for the actual basin I need something to mount the semi pedestal to the wall. Will these be sufficient?
Asked by: MattLincoln1
The SinkFix basin fixing (code 419GP) would be perfect for fixing your basin, generally speaking the manufacturer of the basin/pedestal will supply additional fixings that hold the semi pedestal in place, generally attached to the M10 nuts on the basin fixing itself.
