Can this be used a slip coupling?

Does this have a centre stop? i. e can it be used as a slip coupling?

It does have a centre stop. Longer compression repair couplings (which are slip) are available but Pegler only make these in 15mm.

wil i be able to replace a gate valve with this couple. ie is the distance the sam between the nuts. thanks

It will depend on the gate valve but almost certainly not. The 22mm PX40 is 47mm long, our standard Prestex Gate valve in 22mm is 81mm long. You may be able to get a 22mm repair coupling which would be longer (Pegler do not make one in 22mm compression) otherwise a new valve or a piece of pipe may be required
