Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than DeWalt? After 4 years in the DeWslt camp I thought I'd take a punt on the Milwaukee as a back up drill. Pros - motor feels a lot more powerful and responds with far more control at lower speeds. Battery life is better than the 4a DeWalt equivalent. Really like the way you change between drill/screwdriver, just one click on the selection ring rather than having to wind the torque setting all the way round to the end (and the all the way back when you're done drilling). Cons - is a lot heavier than the DeWalt and that giant battery upsets the balance during prolonged use. The LED light is in the wrong place, being tucked under the body of the motor the chuck puts the work spot in the shade which is really annoying in dark cupboards etc, DeWalt has the light above the battery so lights work spot perfectly. Long battery charging time but does run for longer. Durability is yet to be seen as only run for a month. With 2 batteries this was exceptional value for a Milwaukee bit of kit. Pleased with purchase, will I desert the Black & Yellow team, not sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trusted Make Too early to give a complete review as I have only had for 1 day! Previous experience of Milwaukee tools has shown them to be well built and long lasting. My other Milwaukee drill is now 15 years old and, with a replacement battery was my go to drill until this arrived. Smaller and with a 50% increase in torque, it has proved superb in my test usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wow best drill i have bought was recommended MILWAUKEE TOOLS by friend he was not wrong excellent piece of kit for my d.i.y. jobs very well made just getting used to the 3 features and so far all good and like the fact no mains lead so handy for these jobs with no mains right at hand would recommend

The part code states "BPDN". On the Milwaukee site I can only find a "BPD" version. What Does the "N" Stand for when comparing this to other M18 BPD-402C packs?

brushless or brushes which is best

Brushless tools require less maintenance as brushes do not need replacing and tend to have more power. They also generate less heat making them better for prolonged use.
