Rated 5 out of 5 by from good vacuum good price if you already own makita battery pack, used mostly for car cleanup, wont fully replace my pink vacuum but good for quick cleanups around house

Rated 1 out of 5 by from specification not made clear This product does not make it clear that it does not supply a battery or a charger, obviously this review is aimed at people who do not have knowledge of Makita products or what "Bare" means. .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best thing is no battery! Let's face it this is NOT a high end cordless vacuum cleaner from Mr.D (or similar) but it's good enough for some quick cleaning up. The real winner is that it uses the Makita batteries you already have so you're not paying for another battery and don't end ups with yet another charger. It is really like the original 'dust buster' machines but the 18V battery and motor gives it a lot more suck! Best if you empty it and brush the filters off after every use to maintain performance. Mainly used with the nozzle but surprised how effective the floor bar was especially on hard floors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great vacuum I have had this hoover a day, for use around the house and so far I am impressed. Very simple design with push fit assemble which means this hoover can be stored away on a shelf or in a cupboard. Can switch from standing hoover to a smaller hand held by removing the main tube. A couple of criticisms, firstly the height is a bit of a let down. It stands noticeably shorter than a standard vacuum, which for me (6ft) is still very much usable, but less comfortable, just seems a shame as its only a case of Makita making the main tube longer or adding an extension piece. The battery attaches to the very top, I have the big 5amp on there, loads of power and life, but because it sits above the handle your wrist takes the weight which can be slightly uncomfortable for long usage. I can't comment on reliability yet but feels good quality for the price. I would take this over a £300 household hoover any day.

Does the Makita DCL180ZW come with a battery included!

Asked by: Malinho
The Makita DCL180ZW vacuum is a bare unit, so does not include any batteries. A bare unit is often a cost effective way to increase your tool collection if you already own other Makita LXT tools and have the batteries. This vacuum accepts Makita 18V Li-ion LXT batteries from 1.3 to 5.0Ah. The more Ah the battery has the more work it can complete per charge.
