Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not great Noticeably darker than 50w halogens. There is a pause after switching on before they come on. They are a faff to fit (into lath and plaster ceiling) compared with others as body v tight to standard hole and the cable sticks out meaning with unbendy 1.5mm it is v tight. Not generous with space for wires in. Guide says still use heat cone but pushing whole bulk in displaces existing cone very easily

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but high failure rate. I bought a total of around 20 of these for a kitchen/bedroom/bathrooms extension. They are a good colour and brightness and fit nice and flush to the ceiling. They are easy to wire and fit so generally they are ok, however two of the lights have failed in the first month of use. I don’t know if they are from a bad batch or if this is typical but the reliability causes me concern.

Can these lights be used on a balcony wooden ceiling ]

Dear Limbodan, You can install this downlight in wooden ceiling but they are only IP65 rated from the front, not the back, so they would need to be wired in a dry-space.

Why are most led downlights F rated?

Hi LisaNelson1 It is highly recommended that all downlights installed are fire rated. This is purely for your protection in your home, as they slow down the spread of fire and provide extra time for a safe evacuation in the event of a fire. Schneider dimmer switch

Will these work with the schneider brushed steel dimmer switch (370FF)

Hi T20H, The FType downlights were initially tested in the factory with Leading Edge type dimmers, then when they went for 3rd party certification testing Trailing Edge type were used instead, and both types were found to function adequately with the lights, so whilst we do not have any direct experience with Schneider devices there shouldn't be a problem as long as the dimmer is capable of running the circuit load of LED lighting.
