Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent handy meter Kewtech have never let me down, and this is no exception. Small and compact, yet it delivers big. Suitable for all general AC current measurements as well as basic testing of volts and resistance. Very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SparkingHants Excellent value general current clamp meter, principal use is measurement of current. Although it also offers resistance & voltage, but don’t confuse it with a multimeter - it isn’t really that. Kewtech are great products, they function well and usually offer good value (perhaps vs Fluke, Megger etc). Screwfix price is very good, I’m happy with price & product. One caution: if you need to measure leakage current (eg 5-30 mA) then this is not the right part, you would need a dedicated leakage clamp meter - which tend to be pricey but offer better accuracy at very low currents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very helpful. Another cracking Kewtech product that just works as it should, this doesn't get used every day as a voltage tester but sits in my additional tool box and comes out occasionally when circuits keep randomly tripping/ fuses keep blowing, it is perfect for monitoring loads and has pointed to over load situations easily on a few occasions, it has also been used to check voltages on small batteries, and to prove voltages when my mains tester has been low on batteries (although it can be a bit fiddly to hold both probes and the meter itself). At first I thought it was a bit pricey but it's proven to be very useful at fault finding and some general tasks. As with everything Kewtech makes, the quality and design seems good!

Will it measure peak amps over a 24hr period? i want to leave it attached to my meter tails and see what my peak power usage is.

Low Reading

Hi, Can you tell me what is the lowest current reading the meter will pick up through the clamp as I know some cheaper range meters are not suitable for measuring below 1amp
Asked by: SteveBirmingham
Hi, The KT200 has a resolution of 0.01A in its 40A range. As for any clamp meter, for low current readings it is particularly important to get the conductor with the centre of the jaws. The KT200 has arrows indicating where the ‘sweet’ spot is. Thank you.

Hello, does the meter come with a case ? Thanks

Asked by: 651216
Hi, The KT200 does not come with a case. Included are test leads, for voltage and resistance measurements, and its manual. Thank you.

Kewtech KT200 Voltage Measurement

- I've just bought one of these and it apparently won't measure voltage via the clamp you need to get the probes out - do users know if this is correct?
Asked by: PlutoE
Yes it is correct, you must have metal to metal contact to measure voltage. A non-contact voltage tester such as the Kewstick UNO or Duo will indicate the presence of voltage by glowing red but they cannot tell you the voltage level, for this you need metal to metal contact. Thanks
