Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely useful charger. Not the fastest charger in the world, but the fact that it will charge batteries in, or on the way to places with no power makes it indispensible after one day's use...Pretty good value as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ****Excellent Charger!!! ***** I put my batteries on charge when they need it when I'm travelling to & from work! Works out perfect for myself. The charge itself is no bigger than the 240v so it fits lovely in the glove box when I'm not using it. Brilliant way of keeping your batteries charged, ready to go without relying on if there be a power supply nearby your working!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Saves time, saves effort I never start the day with dead batteries and I never have to worry about lugging them indoors to charge them overnight (constantly getting up to change them). If you find yourself on a 110v site or for me a lift with no 240v wired you can always charge them in the van. The one thing which is to be expected is this will not charge batteries 4a+ as fast as a 240v socket version, but it will do the job all the same. Great idea from DeWalt, it is invaluable if you drive daily for work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal charger This is a great charger. I've just bought it so I can't comment on reliability but it does what it says and charges from my van socket. It's more expensive than the other chargers. However, I can keep my chargers in the van so they don't get lost. I have a leisure battery and solar panel to power this but it also works fine with the van electrics. Thinking of buying another so I can have two on the go.

Will this charge flexvolt 54v batteries? (I understand it charges slower as it produces a limited Amperage output compared to mains but wanted to check compatability)

Asked by: dustben
It will charge a flex volt battery, as fundamentally it is a 18V battery. However, as you have mentioned, it will take a long time

Can you charge 4ah batteries on this device? And if so how long does it take?

Asked by: Timbeard
Hi There You can charge a 4.0Ah Battery but it would take between 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours for a full charge as the Amp output is only 2.5A compared to the 4A on the DCB105 charger.
