Button was wired to a box that was inaccessible to me and carefully decorated to fit the hallway. .After a couple of attempts at a fix I took the quickest route and bought this wireless doorbell that I fitted in 5 minutes and will need no further attention for some years :) For me Screwfix has been a 'port in a storm' several times.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doorbell & Double Glazed doors This is unsuitable for metal supported UPVC frames and doesn't seem to say anywhere on the packaging that it will not work due to that. Took ages to realise what the problem was and then had to stick to the glass which I didn't want. May have to return.

Is this compatible with a BY32 bell push?

I am hard wiring a Victorian bell push into the BY32. Will the signal go to this chime? Many thanks

The BY32 will convert any wired bell press (even your Victorian bell push) to work with a wireless chime. You do need a chime in the BY-series to make the BY32 work however.

What frequency does this door bell work on

Our other wireless doorbell triggers neighbours chime and vice versa. Does this model tune itself to an individual frequency? Thanks. Do all of your Chimes work on the same principal?

Will car key fobs set this off?

Our previous doorbell went off whenever someone locks or unlocked their car nearby using a fob. I don't want to replace it for the new one to do the same - is this an issue?
