Will these fit Schneider Easy9 Consumer Unit

Looking to spec Schneider Easy 9 20-Way CU's for number of restoration villas. Specified your LUCECO lighting, and note your RCBO's offer a significant saving (£650 saving over 3 alone), but will they fit their box?
Asked by: roopie
Hi roopie, While most circuit protection devices from the various manufactures tend to be very similar in size there can be a significant difference in terminal heights, which can potentially lead to stress in the busbar which will potentially generate heat points (which is not desirable). We have not had any Schneider product into our lab for cross-compatibility so cannot make any specific comments or guarantees on this subject.

Would the be ok to replace a MCB?

I have a shed CU wired to the house through the socket circuit. Shed has 100amp MCB and trips the 63amp RCD in the house. I need to swap out, is this a good swap to get power flowing with good safety (I'm running 6amp and 16 amp in shed)
Asked by: LukeM87
Hi, thank you for your product enquiry. The problem with simply replacing an MCB with an RCBO is that the RCD will likely still trip for a fault, you would need an RCBO which is installed `high-integrity' (i.e. being fed directly from the Main Switch) to avoid this.
