(2 products)Megger multifunction testers are electrical test units that are used by electricians and engineers for testing electrical installations. With several functions these products expand upon the normal multimeter options, as they are able to undertake other types of electrical testing procedures to verify and maintain electrical installations. Known as MFTs these are used by insulation testers, also used for cable test and diagnostics, protection relays and systems, circuit breakers, transformer test and diagnostics, low voltage installations, motor and generator testing. These units remove the need to constantly switch equipment. The common procedures they carry out include - Insulation resistance tests and earth continuity tests. Other functions include measurement of loop impedance and line impedance, PSCC tests to determine required circuit breakers and fuses, socket polarity tests, wiring polarity checks, phase sequence/ rotation checks.
