Ronseal wood filler
What a great product, applies well, dries hard and sands to a smooth finish. One of the best fillers I have used

Ronseal Wood Filler
I have used this product many times and it always does the job. The warmer the weather the faster it goes off, so the repair can be completed quickly.
Would recommend to anyone who needs to replace a small amount of rotten wood

Good and bad
It is easy to sand/shape after hardening. So it did the job I wanted. I think it will last well. But the things I didn't like are...
There is no accurate way to know how much hardener to use. Instructions say 'pea sized' amount of hardener and 'golf ball' amount of filler. So you just estimate these as best you can.
Filler and hardener are the same colour (white) so it is very difficult (well, impossible really) to tell when mixing is complete.. So you have to mix for quite a long time to be confident (I did it for 2 mins),
I've just been using it. The weather is warm (in the 20s). It hardened and became unuseable in under1 minute of completing the mixing. Maybe I mixed for too long and/or used too much hardener. But see my previous commonts.
So you have to work super fast. For the 1st couple of attempts, mix up small amounts only and get used to very high speed.work. There's no time for shaping/moulding.
If you use it regularly I suppose you may get used to these 'features'.
It could easily be improved with a simple measuring system such as cheap syringe for the hardener and a measuring scoop for the filler, coloured hardener and a longer working time.
Also, be warned that if you are assessing the volume needed from the size of the tin, the tin is only about half full.
Hope that helps someone.
