Rated 5 out of 5 by from Serious kit for tougher jobs Bought this initially to drill out the holes in some concrete I'd laid to fit a motorcycle ground anchor (yes, I know, should have set wooden dowels in in the right places when it was wet and then drilled them out for the anchor bolts much more easily!) Way beyond the capability of a normal DIY drill. But this proved perfect for drilling the holes in the concrete and more than up to the task. Next job was breaking up some roughly 18inch on each side concrete lumps that had concrete fence supports embedded in them which had been left in the garden by a previous owner. Couple of hours work and I had no lumps and a nice pile of hardcore ready to use for the new patio foundations! This thing, once you get the hang of it, has some serious power. Only for the tougher jobs though as the size and weight are significant. Two additional key points - eye protection is mandatory, the hammering with the pick does send shards every which way, and hearing protection VERY strongly advised. Now looking to see what else needs smashing up, just to test it further of course ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good quality I bought this item for general diy , but as i am disabled and it was far too heavy for me to use , it was more for builders than diy use and i had to return it. good value if you want to use it for breaking up concrete as too heavy to use on walls

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved a lot of time I had a previous chisel drill that gave up on me as I was removing 4inch thick 5x2mtr concrete slab. Rushed out bought this and I have to say it completed the job with no trouble. Compared to the old one its quieter to use just a bit heavier. The drill function is also good and I drilled through the slab to create fracture points with ease. only reason I didn't give five stars on reliability is because I have only had it a week, no problems so far.

I have to dig out 2 feet of concrete mixed with brick rubble to remove a broken 3 inch concrete spur. I plan to remove the concrete from just one side and remove the old spur insert a new one and put in new concrete, will this drill do the job ?

My drill has lost its hammer action, has it had it ?

I have had it a couple of years, but not used it much.
Asked by: raymmodo
Hello raymmodo, Certainly sounds like it's developed a fault, sorry. The Titan SDS drill does have a 2 year warranty, if you've had it less than 2 years, we can replace it for you. Head in to any of our Trade Counters or give us a call on 03330 112 112, if you would like to discuss this further. Thanks for using Q&A, KC

I have a SDS drill bit stuck in the chuck and it will not release, what can I do ?

Asked by: raymmodo
Hello raymmodo. It sounds like if sticking there might be grit/dust in the chuck, There is a couple of options. Pull back chuck-head and at the same-time pull the drill bit out. Get someone to hold drill / clamp into a vice to hold drill solid, then hold drill bit with a pair of grips, as you pull drill bit at same time pull back chuck-head and this should release drill bit. Thank you for using Q&A.

what is the difference between ttb278 and ttb631

Asked by: pacioco
Hello pacioco, TTB631SDS is just a newer package, the drill has all the same performance and features, but the accessory packs are different. TTB631 includes 22 pieces, whereas TTB278 just has 9 pieces. Thanks for using Q&A
