Rated 1 out of 5Â by Tallboy58 Titan 170 pce HSS dril set
To describe the case as a Mickey Mouse job is to grossly insult a well loved, slightly tacky cartoon character. The catches fell to the floor as I took the case out of its cardboard packaging, the hinges(!!!) bent and fouled the protective plastic cover within the metal "case". I have seen far more robust biscuit tins! That said, the drills seem reasonable for the price; I've just drilled 10 holes with each of the 3, 6 and 9 mm drills in 1/8" mild steel strip and they all coped quite well. At an average of under 25p each they are reasonable value i suppose, and will be fine for drilling softwood but they are nowhere near as good as the very similar Ryobi drill set that Screwfix used to sell for a similar price. I would not buy this product again.

I would suggest they are ok for basic diy jobs. The reason i purchased these was for the size range and amount of drills which in all honesty is a cheap price. But as I use these in the trade which involve drilling into various metals I found them to blunt extremely quickly. And snap at any signs of pressure applied to them ( more especially the smaller ones 6mm and smaller. I have since purchased ebauer HSS drills in various sizes in separate packs and these appear to be better quality drill bit.

The drills are Ok in wood, metal can break these drills easily. I have had the smaller sizes snap in pilot holes. They are good for marking through fixtures into plaster and then throwing away. Buy a good set for critical work.
