Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super product So much easier than the hour or more I spent trying to remove sealant the day before. Finished the job in no time after waiting the 15 or so minutes for it to soften the offending sealer. Great product at a good price, and goes a long way. I have used several no nonsense products, and all have been great. Caulk, sealer, and both fine and coarse fillers, which I found to be better than the brand leader.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sealant remover On my 13 year old Dow sealant in the shower, White spirit and WD40 had absolutely no effect but this stuff certainly does, as previously said by others, cut off as much as you can, I left remover on for about 90mins and it just peeled off with old credit card or similar (wear rubber gloves), a second and third application was required to get the silicone from the bottom edge of the tiles to Shower tray joint,(Absolutely critical joint), A good scraping with a small screwdriver was required to finally get the old silicone out. Paint it on as THICK as you can and force it under with your gloved finger. Finally make sure you protect your eyes, this stuff could be very unpleasant splattered in your face, be warned!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great silicone remover Works brilliantly, remove the bulk of the silicone with a knife then apply and leave for a while, easy to then scrape off. Then wipe the area to be sealed with some methylated spirit and a cloth, this will ensure the new silicone sticks property.

Answer:
Hello growlers,

The No Nonsense sealant remover is a solvent based cleaning product. From what I've been able to find online the ClearShield coating seems to be tough enough to resist solvents, but I would recommend confirming this with the manufacturer before using the sealant remover or at the very least testing the product on an inconspicuous area.

Thanks for using Q&A
