Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good quality and value Not a bad product for removing the final residue. However no miracle worker on silicone beads. Still requires plenty of prep prior to using this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it says Good product and as effective as more expensive branded sealant removers. Does the job...what more is there to say!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Works!! Must admit, a bit sceptical when I bought this as I've tried other similar products with very limited success BUT - this one works. Used to remove 5 years old sealant from a shower screen. This thicker bits toook a couple of applications but it worked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from obvious product to have I gave it 4 stars because although im grateful a brush was attached to the lid it wasnt very wide. I would use a half inch paint brush next time. it is similar to paint stripper thats my impression and softens easily any silicon left after gross removal which takes alot less time to do than the final stages trying carefully to remove the last 5% this stuff deals with that. will always use from now on. small pot but its half full now after dealing with kitchen sink, 2 bathroom sinks, a single shower and a bath.

Sealant remover will it damage paintwork or upvc window frames

Will it damage wooden paintwork or upvc window frames ?
Asked by: Maggie17
Hi Maggie17, I have spoken with the manufacturer who has advised that this product will not harm uPVC but because of the many different paint types they could not comment with certainty and advised that it would be best to test it on a small inconspicuous area to check this. Thanks for using Screwfix Q&A. JT

Can this be used on BLACK GLOSS LAMINATE WORKTOPS

We have clear silicone residue around sink recently installed into black gloss laminate worktops It is just a thin layer around edge of sink Would it be ok to use this to remove without staining/scratching
Asked by: Mike14
Not sure about this product but I've used acetone aka good nail varnish remover on gloss black worktops with great results so presumably this would do the same
