No Nonsense Polyester Resin 175ml
PROS AND CONS
Used to fix 10mm stud to hold drain pipe.
Seems to give a solid fixing.
Had problems with it going hard before leaving the end of the gun (2 minutes). So bought a quality gun and used on a cooler day to give me more time.

Used to attach 63mm thick timber battens to a concrete block wall. The instructions do not make any recommendations on hole sizes and depths for a given stud rod size. I was using 8mm rod and drilled 10mm holes to a depth of 60-70mm.
The instructions mention clearing dust and debris from the hole. This is VERY important. I have a small compressor so was able to blow them clean using a small nozzle to reach into the bottom of the holes.
Followed the instructions for filling and fitting the stud rods, and removed excess resin that had squeezed out.
Lifted the battens onto the studs immediately, propping them in place until the resin had fully cured (this was to make sure that the studs were all aligned correctly with the holes in the timber). Left for double the recommended time to cure before fitting large washers and tightening the nuts until the washes were pulled in tight into the surface of the timber.
Checked tightness again the following day and the nuts were all still tight and turning any further just pulled the washers tighter into the timber.
This stuff really works, just make sure the holes are free of dust and debris.
One reviewer mentioned having been given stock that was out of date. Both tubes I bought were fine (both showed 11 months remaining before expiry).

Polyester Resin 175ml
Never used this type of product before & really pleased with it.
Easy to use with standard gun, self mixes, goes off in minutes. Appears to give very strong bond. Spare nozzle is useful.

Exactly what was needed, no special gun required did the job.
