No Nonsense Fire Cement 2kg
Used for fireplace,Great stuff
I used this to repair the edges of my fireplace where the old cement had broken away and the bricks were visible,
I haven't really used cement very many times for anything indoors, But the mix is a nice consistency, I was able to get a very flat surface with a little patience.
Do remember to give it a few days to harden properly!

I needed to fix a metal deflector at the front of an open fireplace to stop smoke entering the room and bought this to seal the gaps. I ended up using it to fix the metal in place too (it was a snug fit and this stuff is so solid that it did away with the need for screws).
I left it to dry for the recommended 24 hours and have had a few good fires since with no signs of cracking and a nice tidy seal. It stuck to the aluminium plate as well as to the brickwork and smoothed down easily using a gloved finger.
I'd give it 5 for reliability too, but won't know for sure for a few years!

A very good product which is easily applied to the firebricks. Just one small detail is that the cement is a little on the course side. Overall a good value product from the no nonsense basic range.

Brilliant stuff. I would like it in a smaller bucket as I have a lot left.
So easy to use, I am beginning to trust the No Nonsense brand above most of the big names.
