Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb paint Simply, this is the proper stuff ! Strong and super sticky. Cleaning the brushes afterwards is going to be difficult though - just reassure yourself all that huge amount of pigment and strong binder you can't get off the brush is why the paint that's on the floor is so good !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Did the job Used it to cover a concrete cellar floor that had been previously painted, but most of which had flaked off. Gave the floor a good brush with a steel wire brush to remove the flaky paint, and vacuumed up the dust. Gave the floor and celler steps a thick coat using a combination of brush to the floor edges and roller to the main part of the floor. No real discernable odour, but left a few days since there's not much ventilation in the cellar. First coat dried patchy where the paint had soaked into the bare concrete. A quick second coat and the job was done, Looks great, but only time will tell if it stays that way hence 3 stars for reliability.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Poor coverage The spec sheet claims a coverage of 11sq m per litre. So a 5 litre can should easily cover my 26sq m garage floor. I'm doing it half at a time because of all the stuff in there. The thinned first coat used 2.5 litres for 13sq m. The second coat used just over 2 litres. OK, my concrete floor is very rough but even so I was disappointed with the coverage and I'll need 2 cans rather than 1. Both coats were applied with a medium pile roller. Coverage aside, the price is still reasonable, it goes on easily, looks good and will be much easier to keep clean than the bare concrete. Only time will tell how hard-wearing it is but I expect it'll wear off fairly quickly on the high spots. I can live with that, though.

Is this suitable for external brick wall paint?

Asked by: Banzerella
Hello Banzeralla. Unfortunately not, if the brick is porous you can use a masonry paint. Thanks

How long should I leave a new concrete floor before applying this paint?

Asked by: exmoorhorn
Hello exmoorhorn. As a general rule we recommend 1 month per inch of concrete laid for drying. The floor must be fully dry before painting. Thanks

What preparation would you recommend for an old clean concrete floor? Do Leyland make a floor sealer?

Asked by: Itzmee101
hello Itzmee101. We do not have a primer or sealer prior to using our floor paints. All you need to ensure is that the floor is clean and free from dust. Applying a 1st coat, thinned with 5% white spirit will act as a sufficient means of quenching the absorbency of the floor - essentially acting as a sealer. Once dry apply 2 further full coats of the Floor Paint. Thanks

Can this paint be used on a concrete floor with underfloor heating?

Asked by: Terry559
Hello Terry559. As long as the heating is switched off or kept at a very low heat during the application and drying times, then this will be fine. Thanks
