I was looking for a small generator that could be easily moved around yet capable of powering two work units fitted with lights and sockets. This does the job easily and has a good run time on medium to high load.

I have just purchased this little generator and I am glad to say how pleased I am with it.
It seam's pretty well made, filling with oil which isn't supplied, could be a little fiddly but that so far is only gripe.
Tried on my 1800w chainsaw, and had no problems running it.
Would be nice if a little quieter.
Have tried against a Hyundai which was 3 times the price, and this little impax was smoother, easier to start and not really any noisier.
Good value for money with it's little OHC engine.

This is my second unit that has failed. The 1st failed to produce power after a few minutes of running & now it's replacement won't run for more than 1 minute before it cuts out. Will be getting a refund & putting the money towards a decent generator.

Had a job on the moors miles away from anywhere that needed my 1600w demolition hammer.
Ordered the Impax 2500 and collected next morning on the way to the North York moors.
Unpacked it on Screwfix car park in Burnley.
Excellent packing, no chance of damage in transit, unless dropped from the sky.
Quick read ot the manual, filled with oil, already had the quantity od the web site, checked the spark plug was tight. Filled with petrol, pulled the starter rope 10 times, as per label, choke lever to on, tanl vent to on, petrol tap to on, ignition witch to on, eco switch to off, pulled the starter, nothing, pulled it again the engine started.
Cold morning, 8 degrees C, after about 20 seconds, pushed choke lever to off.
Plugged 1600w hammer in, ran OK, Eco switch to on, again hammer swithed on, small change in engine speed.
Packed it all away and off to the job. total running time about 4 hours, very quiet, ran on Eco all the time, stopping and starting as reqired, needed choke every time, but also started on first pull every time.
Fuel consumption most probabley better than stated, choke lever a bit small, had to take glove of to operate it, no noticable rise in temperature after 4 hours. First impresions, very good build quality, very quiet and easy to use. Good buy at reasonable price.
