Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointing quality Replacing cabinet doors in utility room and needed a 35mm cutter for hinges. The cutter is sharp and quickly cuts the hole in mdf doors but it creates a hole larger than 35mm meaning that I have had to pack out the hinge recess to get a good fit for the hinges. You can see that the cutter rotates eccentrically( I think that is the right word!)which has created the larger hole than that required. The tool has the advantage of being cheap and is sharp but I wish I had spent more money and bought a quality tool. 1 Feb 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by 35mm door hinge hole cutter Excellent quality reasonably priced leaves a clean edge 22 Jan 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Door cutter After years of using forstner drills to drill the cabinet doors I splashed out and got a 35 mm hinge drill. It's of reasonable quality . The lip and spurs are tungsten. It performs well in a powerful cordless ... dewalt etc.. but better still on the pillar drill . Drilled a series of hardwood cabinet doors easily . Will be using these drills more and more now . Clean crisp holes with no burrs . 16 Jan 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simples! Made an easy job even easier. Not worth making do with anything else except the correct bits, which are so easy to get from Screwfix. 4 Dec 2015

Answer:
Having just bought this I find that the instructions say NOT to be used in a router. I guess this means you need a vertical drill stand or a pillar drill. The cutter's shaft size is 10mm and should be inserted a min of 20mm into the chuck.
