Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little brackets These brackets are excellent for hanging heavy pictures, mirrors etc. They allow the picture to hang almost flush so give a neat finish. The only minor criticism I would make is that the countersunk holes are not quite big enough for a size 6 or 3.5mm screw which can cause the screw heads to catch on each other when hanging the picture. They are at an excellent price so its no hardship to enlarge the countersunk holes slightly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great These worked perfectly for hanging my 1250x900 mirror, they can interlock with each other so you get a super flush finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fixings I use these a lot for temporary exhibitions of artworks. They can be difficult to find and/or stupidly expensive elsewhere, so I make sure I keep a stock from Screwix! The mounts are very secure (for light items I can get away with only using two of the screw holes on each piece) and nice and tight (I've mounted outdoor pieces with them and never experienced any problems with movement in windy conditions). . Others have commented on the shallow countersinks – if you want to use larger screws, you may be able to get away with it depending on what you're mounting. I've fixed heavier items with screws that won't quite sit flush by prising the 'tongues' slightly further out from the bodies of the mounts. Obviously there's only so far you can go with this, but you can sometimes win yourself three or four extra mm.

Hello Rickifiki,

For the screws to sit flush you will need a maximum of a 5mm screw with a head diameter equal to 8mm.

Answer:
I would use at least 2 sets of mounts (ideally 4) for a 20kg mirror and yes they will easily hold it. The weak point will be the fixing into the wall and the mirror. If you get a strong fixing then you won't have a problem since 4 screws hold each mount. I have a 30kg mirror hung in my front room now using 2 sets of these mounts.

Hope this helps
