Rated 5 out of 5 by Roof emergency repair Used this to fill a few gaping cracks along an edge of a flat roof. To be frank this product is not easy to work with and everything which touches this stuff can be thrown away. However it fills even large gaps easily and settles quickly and nicely, once you get the hang of it. How effective it is remains to be seen as it has not rained in earnest yet... However the gaps and cracks seem completely sealed up... 7 Dec 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fixed and watertight I had a couple of small leaks in my workshop roof. After having read the glowing reviews on here I decided to pop down to Screwfix and give it a try . The assistant showed me the 1kg tin on the screen.I chose the blue one labelled Cementone /Flexacryl.He bought out one by Bostik so I asked him to get the other one. I later realised this is made by Bostik so they must be the same. The roof was still a bit wet and damp so I brushed away the small stones and using a paintbrush started applying the sealant.I had an old piece of asphalt and used it like a patch .Used some small roofing nails to hold it down and sealed is all up. You can do all this in the wet and damp and it still works. Re checked today and its all watertight and saved me a lot of stress and hassle.Great product would thoroughly recommend this . 14 Nov 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolutely 100% recommended! The title says it all! I used it to repair a broken roof tile, which caused a rainwater leak (smashed by a heavy footed glazier, who later denied it!). I was able to repair the area, re-stick the broken tile, then overcoat the area with a good overlap. No running down the sloping roof. No major mess. AND....No more leaking roof! Really, 100% recommended! 11 Oct 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Long lasting, v good. Used on garage flat roof felt. Primed first with recommended primer. Applied product using regular paintbrush. Over painted suspected leak area by approx 1 metre square. 1 coat only for primer and this product. 18 months passed and no leaks... Bone dry. Worked better than expected. 9 Oct 2015

The Cementone Roof Repair Compound Black ( Flexacryl )is a fibre reinforced solvent based waterproof acrylic coating. It can be applied to a cement asbestos roof, following the preparation and application instructions on the tin. For this product 1 kg of material will equal 1 Ltr, ( in terms of coverage.)

Thank you for your enquiry.
Unfortunately we do not believe this product would be successful on UPVc. It would perform on well prepared aluminium.
I hope this information helps.

Answer:
The Cementone Roof Repair Compound Black 1 Kg ( also known as Flexacryl ) can be applied to a damp surface as long as any excess wet or pooling water is brushed away first and as long as the surface is of a sound nature. However if the surface is highly porous or friable then it will need to be dry and have a thin bitumen primer applied first such as the Evo-Stik Flashband Primer 500 ml. This should be allowed to dry before applying the Flexacryl. The product is not designed to be applied to rubber roofs or fibreglass.

Thank you for your recent enquiry relating to our products.
Most surfaces do not need to be primed when applying our Flexacryl Roof Repair Compound. You must ensure surfaces are clean with no loose material. If surfaces are exceptionally porous or friable then we would recommend the use of a bitumen based primer. I hope this information helps.

I have a lean to attached to my main house wall. I have used flashing tape to seal the roof sheets to concrete wall but as the wall is not perfectly flat there is a few rain weeps getting past and behind the flashing tape. Will this product be ok if brushed over the tape edging to stop the water leaks

Answer:
The Cementone Roof Repair Compound will bond to a concrete wall and we would expect it to bond on to a flashing tape however this application is outside of the products usual specification and it will not bond the tape itself back down, Consequently such an application must be considered a temporary measure and the longevity of it will be unknown.
