Rated 5 out of 5Â by PaulM16 good cut
If you just want a reliable little saw for home this is excellent. I bought mine to help with cutting the material when building a set of gates for the front of my house. I cut mitres on 40mmx40mm square hollow section and straight cuts on 40mmx10mm, 25mmx6mm and 12mm solid bar and all cuts were excelllent.
The blade is sharp and has not worn at all. Eye protection is a must though as the blade style creates hot and sharp burrs.
Well worth the money..

It's very early days, so I can't talk about reliability but it seems well-made and very good value.

Needed to buy a chop saw quickly as old one broke, as renovating an old cottage and doing stud work. Wasn't expecting much from this product but it's pretty impressive. Cuts cleanly and very precisely. It's so much quieter than my last saw and very light. to carry around.
You need to let the blade do the work rather than forcing it through studding as the blade is an unconventional design. But it will chop through just about anything.
At £49.99 ....wow...what a bargain.
