Rated 5 out of 5 by A brilliant drill for the pric Having owned this drill for 6 months and using it for pretty much everything, I have finally killed it. Ive used this drill to put holes in steel, wood, walls. Used it for 12 weeks with a wire brush attachment to prep the chassis on my transit van. Mixed 3 x 25kg bags of plaster a day for probably nearly a week straight. Today i think I burnt the brushes out. Tomorrow im buying another, maybe even two :) Havent found a better drill for the price. Keyless chuck is awesome Speed control, VERY HELPFUL. Buy it you wont be disappointed!! 10 Aug 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great drill at great price Great drill and well worth the money with drill bits included in the price. No faffing about with chuck keys as easy to secure the drill bits. A handy tool around any home, office or workshop. 27 Jun 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value Drill Bought this as I needed to hang a TV wall bracket, was very impressed with the feel of the product and that it came with some extra drill bits. The one downside is the keyless chuck. On my drill I need to tighten it to the point where I'm afraid it'll break. Otherwise it'll losen and will spin around the bit. Other than that though, I think I got myself a bargain! 27 Jun 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best diy buy at the price I've been in the building trade for over 30yrs and have owned more drills than a dentist! Bought this for a female friend for diy as it was light. At the price I was prepared not be impressed but I must say this is a brilliant piece of kit to have in any household. My only slight moan was that the bits supplied with the drill come loose so easy to lose. A cheap plastic case to hold them would've been ideal. 19 May 2016

Answer:
Hi Seanyyyyy, You can use standard masonry drill bits in this drill with to drill holes in concrete or masonry. You could then use the appropriate wall plugs and screws to fit the shelving. An alternative would be to use masonry screws. I hope this information is of help to you.

Answer:
Hello Greenfield,

This is a percussion drill which means that it has a hammer action/ hammer drill option. A hammer action means that the bit inserted into the drill rapidly moves a very small distance in and out to deliver a blow / impact to the material being drilled.

Thank you for using Q and A.

Hello Mannu.

This is a percussion drill which means that it has a hammer action. A hammer action means that the bit inserted into the drill rapidly moves a very small distance in and out to deliver a blow / impact to the material being drilled. If your application is to simply tighten and un-tighten screws then our power screwdriver range will be more suitable, they can be found here > http://www.screwfix.com/c/tools/pow...

If you need a drill with a hammer action as well as to drive screws then a cordless combi drill which has a selectable hammer action might be more suitable > http://www.screwfix.com/c/tools/dri...

If you do not require a hammer action drill and simply want to drill for putting up shelves for example and to drive screws then a drill driver would be the best option > http://www.screwfix.com/c/tools/dri...

We have a great range to suit all budgets whichever option you choose as well as the top brands.
