Fitting to an Existing Tap
Can this filter kit be used with an existing standard tap?
I have a Single Lever/Mixer tap, and want a filter kit that can go under the sink but basically bolt-on. What's best? What additional parts would be required?
The BWT High Performance Water Filter Kit is supplied with a filter head with 1/4" push-fit connections - for the saddle pierce valve with flexible tube on the inlet, and flexible tube connected to tap supplied, on the outlet.
If you do not wish to use the tap supplied with the kit you would need to be able to connect the 1/4" flexible tube from the outlet to your own tap using a suitable connector. This would be 1/4" push-fit to whatever size thread your tap is.

Would this filter be suitable for installation after a polyphosphate system? Would it remove the polyphosphate fixed / coated minerals?
The BWT High Performance Water Kit is suitable for drinking water. It will not be an effective solution to remove polyphosphate from the water.
A polyphosphate dosing system will dose food grade polyphosphate into your water. Although this is safe to drink, people with a sensitive palate may detect a slight taste in the water. Therefore, it would be recommended to install this after your drinking water supply to offer whole house protection or install to protect a single appliance.
If you wish to remove scale from your drinking water then we could recommend to use the BWT Water Filter Kit (product code: 14306). This drinking water filter kit reduces chlorine, unpleasant taste & odour, scale and scum.
