Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product I bought one of these for fine detail work and now use it for most routing tasks. It's easier to use and control than a larger plunge router for most tasks, i used to have one with variable speed and it's a shame this doesn't have that. A little on the expensive side but well worth the money 15 Sep 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by I would recommended,however... Perhaps a fault with this one!! other reviews are good, hence why i bought it!! Ive used many routers and wanted a palm router for the small sexy jobs! I do like Bosh and have a few tools by them, decent quality gear. However this router nearly took my hand off....I read the manual, set it up and decided to test ride her. I had some wood and decided to add a channel, clipped the guide in leveled up and off i went,it felt great and cut smooth....but then i noticed the black latch on the front shaking, all of a sudden it came loose and the router flew from my hands crashing on the floor almost cutting through the wires The router was cracked chipped and scuffed up quite badly, the bit was all bent up too, luckily the only damage to myself was a smashed/crushed nail on my thumb, this could of been a lot worse. i went back to screw fix told them the story and they ordered me a makita router and refunded me the difference. thanks screwfix! :) 3 Aug 2016

Rated 2 out of 5 by disappointing Bosch again Very disappointed with this tool. First one lasted a month and just gave up. Second one keeps shaking its self to bits. I've given up on it now and bought a dewalt. Its quieter, easier to set up and feels much more solid. 17 May 2016

Bits for 33000 rpm

Are there any bits for sale that are rated for the speed of this router? The titan bit kits for 1/4 collett only go to 24000.

Answer:
Yes you can but you need very precise handling of the router. It simply depends on how steady your handling of the device is. As far as the device is concerned, this specific item will definitely help do it if you are up for a challenge.
hint - Get some number stencils to use as guide.

Hi, thanks for your question. This router can be used for freehand work, although if working on something important we would always recommend using a guide or jig to minimise any chance of making mistakes or damaging the workpiece.
