Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best extractor for the money Had a problem with condensation and mould in bathroom with shower - re painted and installed this fan. The mirror does not even steam up now. Having no timer is not a problem, it is so efficient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent in line extraction. Not surprisingly, easy to set up and due to reviews mounted about 12 inches above the height of ceiling of bathroom in loft on a plinth Approx 2 metres from ceiling grille . Insulated flexible pipe between grille and fan with a load of bubble wrap to reduce condensation within pipe in winter. Did the same with the fan housing. Flexible pipe fitted very tautly to prevent water collecting. Pipe from fan to atmosphere also taut to external grille and at downhill angle all the way although not lagged. I did this having read all the reviews. The performance is nothing short of awesome. No steamy tiles or windows or mirror! Unit itself is quiet with no vibrations. In bathroom you can hear the whoosh of air as it flows thru the grille. Only gave medium rating for reliability and features because only purchased two days ago. Features could be better such as easier disconnect of flex for removal of unit from loft for cleaning and easier access to speed control as presently have to remove casing and trip power supply . Otherwise a lovely bit of kit with awesome performance & far better than the old lower power unit I used before. I recommend this product, Excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement I replaced my old broken extraction fan for this extraction unit. Very easy to in-store and does a good job in extracting the stream from the bathroom. Not as noisey as I was expecting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product Overall a great product, very quiet, simple to install only used for a short time so cannot comment on reliability but so far have no complaints and very reasonable price

Does this item come with the flexible ducting

Asked by: Mark1871
Hello Mark1871, No, this is the fan only. Screwfix reference for 100mm (3m) length of flexible PVC ducting is 18232.

100mm flat channel suitable for this?

Due to space restrictions I'd like to use 100mm round pipe going into this fan and to use 100mm flat channel exiting the fan (using a pipe to flat channel adaptor). Would this be OK?
Asked by: DeeAyeWhy
Hello, by using a 110 x 54mm flat channel, you will get quite a performance loss, it would be preferable to convert to a 204 x 60mm if possible to maximise the amount of free area for the ventilation fan, as the MixFlo shifts a large volume of air, and this would essentially be bottlenecked on a 110 x 54mm ducting. Hope this helps.

Does this extractor fan have a timer fitted?

If fitted in the loft and switched via a lighting circuit is there a timing delay before it switches off? If so, is the timer adjustable or of fixed period?
Asked by: AvSec
This model has no switched live connection, only realised when i got it home.

Do you know the flow rate in m/s?

Asked by: Iangar
There is quite a difference in Flow Rate (Volume over Time) and just the Air Velocity (Velocity over Time - m/s). The Maximum Velocity would be 2.16m/s.
