Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply a very good extractor Bought this to replace a Manrose fan which I also bought from Screwfix but two units failed in less than a year each. This one has been going for two years without a hitch and is still as quiet and powerful as when it was new. Being a bigger fan it does make some noise, I ended up mounting mine on a roof rafter rather than a ceiling beam, which has taken away some of the noise. It is in no way loud though. It shifts the steam from our shower so much better than the previous unit, I wish we had fitted one of these to begin with. A very good extractor fan. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb performance Excellent product, clears our small bathroom of condensation and creates a nice airflow through the bathroom eliminating the few damp problems that were occurring. There is a satisfying plume of vapour from the outside vent on cold days. The fan itself is very quiet, the only noise is from the air being pulled through the ceiling vent. All in all very pleased with its performance and considering a second to deal with the effects of our nicotine habit. Only been installed 3 weeks so only 3☆ for reliability.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissapointed Just fitted vent axis acm100t extractor in my relatively small bathroom ,total volume only 10.07 cubic mtrs . The fan is fitted in the roof space with a ducting run of 1.5 metres to the outside vent with a internal grill in the bathroom ceiling. The shower is located over a corner bath. Having trailed this unit 4 times since installation I am dissapointed with the result. The mirror and the wall tiles steam up whilst having a shower, this is with the bathroom window shut. I selected the vent axia acm100t after reading the product reviews which would suggest it to be the best on the market ( and most expensive) Even after a 10 minute overrun the extractor does not remove all the condensation in the bathroom. Am I expecting too much from this extractor? If this is supposedly the best on the market I hate to think how the cheaper extractors perform. That said the service from screwfix was brilliant

Answer:
It's possible to split the duct to extract from 2 rooms, but you'd need to ensure that you're achieving 15 l/s for each room. With duct runs/grilles taken into account, you may end up needing to upsize the fan to cover the 2 rooms.

If it is the Turbo Ventilation kit which has always used a separate remote inline fan, then yes, the ACM100T could be used.

Answer:
As to whether a given fan will achieve the required airflow for building regulations (15 l/s in bathroom in this case), depends on the system resistance the fan needs to move the air against - For this reason, it is difficult deal in duct run lengths. The ACM100 is a mixed flow inline fan and although it will still achieve 15 l/s up to approx. 120 Pascal's, with an 8 meter duct run including grilles and perhaps bends, the system resistance is likely to be above 120 Pascal's. For an 8 meter run, a centrifugal inline would be better choice.
