Received next day went to work removing old underlay and proceeded to fit new found it a little difficult to run carpet knife across underlay this was due to the construction of the material seemed to have strong fibers and snagged the knife, or maybe not being a professional fitter lacked the knack/sharpest knife.
Once laid and carpet refitted there was a very definite feel which resulted in a more cushioned carpet

The first time I have used this underlay. It is full of recycled plastic bits which can only be cut with scissors. Use of a stanley knife means tearing the underlay. Feels OK to walk on even though there are small hard lumps throughout. Once the carpet is fitted over the underlay it feels very nice. Time will tell if it is reliable. Red side down and put a couple of staples in to hold it while you cut the other end up to the gripper strip. I found after leaving a 3m cut piece for a couple of hours it expanded slightly by 2cm. Put a couple of staples in the cut end as the underlay slips on wooden floor boards. Cut the rest of the underlay and sweep off the dust. Tape the seams with duct tape. It is a much easier job with 2 people.
