Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent value Very impressed. Drilled through a double skin brick well like a knife through butter. Not sure how long it will last but did the job and good value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only wish I'd bought sooner Purchased this to take up 6 inches square x 3M Concrete base edge for a garage conversion to install a lintel - with the chisel this thing ate through it. Weighty enough to do the necessary work, but not so much that you can't throw it about. Proceeded to use it for toothing out bricks, and eventually used it to cut a door hole in a double skin brick wall (no substantial angle grinder available) and it did everything with ease. Only criticism is the air vent which loves blowing dust all over your face, but people have already commented on how to rectify this issue (or a pair of goggles of course). Great kit, I've thrashed it over the last 2 months and it hasn't missed a beat.

Angle of flat chisel when inserted into fastening sleeve?

This is probably a daft question... when the flat chisel is inserted into the fastening sleeve, would you expect it to be at an angle (approx 45 degrees)? Thanks.
Asked by: CountArthur
Hi CountArthur, I am advised that he orientation of the chisel depends entirely on the orientation of the chuck when chisel mode is selected. So, typically you would fit the flat chisel and if the angle is not suitable, select drilling mode, and rotate the chuck until the chisel is oriented how you want it and then select chisel mode (to engage roto stop). Thanks for using Screwfix Q&A. JT

Uses

I know it says it chisels and drills but would this be powerful enough to chisel out mortar in between bricks and then be able to drill holes in the bricks also as I am looking for an all-rounder masonry drill (for holes) and chisel?
Asked by: JTDlandscaping
Hello JTDlandscaping, Every usage is different due to the varying circumstances of the site and environment. Therefore we advise that you contact a local tradesperson who will be able to view and assess your particular requirements. They will be able to provide further advice for the usage of the Drill. Thank you for using Q&A.

Is this suitable to break up compacted hardcore

I already own this drill, I was wondering if it is suitable to break up very compacted hardcore from underneath block pavers? If so would a longer chisel bit make it easier?
Asked by: Guestie
Hello Guestie, This breaker has an impact energy of 8 joules. It is hard to determine whether or not this product would be suitable for breaking up the 'compacted hardcore' without actually testing it on the material. Thank you for using Q&A. (LM).
