Good priced pump numerous other DIY stores sell same pump under different name for £10 extra
Good for emergencies but i found it that more often than not it had to be manually primed as it would not pump water out of 30 inch deep trench with hose on once hose removed and pump primed works very well

I found this pump was very efficient at pumping dirty water that contained very thick algae and decayed leaves to a drain 2meters higher the invert level of the dirty water. The pump has good power and lift. I used the rigid hose attached using a round metal hose clip (not provided). The pump drains water down to a level roughly 1.5 inches from floor/trench surface being drained, so if you need to drain a surface to empty you will need to form a small lower sump in the surface being drained for the pump to sit in, or finish the job by hand bailing to a bucket and pump from the bucket, or get a separate pump designed to drain down to a few mm of surfaces. The pump will certainly shift sludge and dirty water with particles as it says on the can! I'm happy with it.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Andy2Handy very poor float switch
I've had this for a fortnight now, and must say I'm quite disappointed. I wanted to get the Karcher pump that was the same price, but they were sold out without any expectation of getting them back in again, so I had to settle for this one.
What I was most looking forward to was leaving it on 'automatic' mode with the float switch and not having to constantly monitor it. But after pumping out the basement, it left the pump running dry. Also it leaves about an inch of water on the floor that it can't suck up, which is a bother.
But on the plus side, it's very quiet.

I bought this pump for a sump I had dug to alleviate flooding. The pump worked fine but left to its own devices it would not switch itself on even though it was completely submerged.
I exchanged it for another one and it was exactly the same it would not switch on until I physically lifted the float switch out of the water.
