Rated 4 out of 5 by Titan Angle Grinder Wanted this to cut some natural stone slabs. The first one lasted half an hour, the switch went but Srewfix changed it immediately for another which did the job fine. They did say that if it went again I could choose another brand but to be fair I have a Titan SDS drill which has been seriously used and abused with no issues at all. 22 Sep 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great little cutter I used this to cut a clay soil pipe so I could connect to a PVC pipe. Worked great although I found the protector got in the way of the cutting action. Well worth it considering its all packaged up in a plastic box. The only gripe I have is that there is no space to store discs in the box. 20 Sep 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Daily Grind Used this angle grinder to open up cracks in exterior render prior to repairing the cracks. Did a great job, very easy to use. I'd say the only slight downside is - it's a bit awkward to put away in the carry case that comes with it, you have to remove the handle from the grinder and it's a tight fit to get it back in the case along with its cable/plug. 16 Sep 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Could be so much better I've bought a few Titan power tools and usually they've been excellent, but this has disappointed. Fundamentally it spins a disc very fast and lets you cut or grind, so that's fine. But there are usability issues. Firstly the switch is an awkward 'push and slide' design that's difficult to use, and almost impossible with gloves on. Secondly the clamp for the adjustable guard is bulky and really reduces the cutting depth. I took it off completely, which isn't very safe but gave the depth I needed. Thirdly, whilst it comes with a handy plastic case it is too small to put the grinder in without removing the disc first. Also there isn't much room to store spare discs either. Ultimately if it got stolen would I buy another? No, I'd find an alternative, even if more expensive 9 Sep 2016

Answer:
Hi Dazdd, We would not regard this and other small angle grinders as being suitable for taking down a brick wall. You may wish to look at the larger 9" / 230mm angle grinders, SDS plus drills fitted with a chisel.

I'm planning to cut paving slabs, concrete gravel boards and possibly concrete fencing posts. Will this do the job or should I go for a 230mm grinder?

Hello Bug2016.

The titan 4½" angle grinder is not really suitable for what you are doing, possible alternative, Titan TTB283GRD 9" angle grinder 230V (40362).

Thank you for using Q&A.

Answer:
Hello,

This product can be used for cutting metal and obviously for grinding, we'd recommend using a metal cutting blade for the former task such as 29970 or 15915. However we would not be able to say how successful it would be with your type and thickness of metal.

Hope this helps.
