Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceptional Bought this to break holes for 100mm fence posts. I knew the conrete was thick, but 12 inches of concrete dug out in minutes. Fantastic bit of kit saved me hours of work. Very easy to use despite it's weight. 27 Jun 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome I got this to break up an old foundation from conservatory. Absolutely smashed it, was much easier than I expected and this breaker was really good, very glad i purchased it, saved a lot of time, effort and money. 18 Jun 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bargain I brought this to take some concrete in the garden which a shed previously sat on. Instead of hiring one for this price I brought one Knife through butter, well worth owning. Used it on other projects since & no problems 13 Jun 2016

Hello Multitalented60,

The maintenance instructions state that this product will need to be well lubricated, this can be done using WD-40 or other lubricating oil.

Thank you for using Q&A.

Answer:
Hello. How long the chisels last will depend on the material being worked, amount of use etc but they will inevitably become blunt at some stage so will require re-sharpening. Hope that helps.

Hi,

Would this item use SDS MAX bits ? I am only asking as I have quite a few SDS MAX bits already.

Thanks.

Just bought this but it doesn't seem to perform as described in the many positive reviews.
I am using it to break up a tarred pavement
I would describe the performance as a vibrating action forcing the tools into the surface and prising them apart other than a hammer action breaking the surface.
Because of this I am having to pare away 2-3" from a loose edge to make any headway with the job.
This is heavy going.

I have a medium sized hammer drill that performs better but obviously it will burn out as it is not designed for such heavy duty
