Excellent DIY Drill For the money, this is easily the best value DIY drill. As a competent DIY guy, I am always looking for tools that fit the job I need to do and my pocket. This Tool fits that bill and means that I am not likely to need to purchase another drill unless this one dies, which I don't expect. I would recommend that every DIYer gets one of these. 30 Jul 2015
Great value for money Having used branded drills in the past I decided to give an sds drill a go having never had one previously. Why did i wait until now persevering with the old style hammer drills??? The build quality and power of this drill for the price is quite extraordinary. Having first thought I'd try this sds unit in order to buy a branded item later I've since made the decision that this drill will do for all the tasks I need to do in the future... Extras thrown in also for the extremely low price!!! Awesome piece of kit and a must in any tool box. Give it a go, at this price you really can't go wrong!!! 29 Jul 2015
Best multy functional Drill Excellent value for money, works well and easy to use a proper little workhorse. Only used the chisel action to date breaking up concrete, very efficient. 26 Jul 2015

Answer:
An SDS drill is used for heavy duty jobs and are mainly used by professional trades-people. SDS means special direct system. You will need to use SDS drill bits which have a shank at the end fitting into the chuck of an SDS drill. This means that the drill bit is retained inside the drill itself whereas on a standard drill, it is the arms that hold the drill bit in place. SDS drills are also capable of holding larger bits than a conventional 13mm drill.

An SDS drill normally has 2 or 3 modes for drilling, hammering and chiselling - look for 2 function or 3 function SDS drills. You can use standard drill bits but you will need to use an SDS chuck adaptor. You should not use standard drill bits when using the hammering mode.

If you are drilling into brickwork on a regular basis then an SDS drill is a great tool for such a heavy duty task. SDS drills are normally heavier than a standard drill so are not suitable for working when on a ladder for example.

For everyday drilling tasks such as hanging pictures, shelves or putting furniture together then a combi drill, drill driver or impact driver is sufficient.

Answer:
Hello, this drill can drill through the solid pebbles. However it is likely that it will chip pebbles out due to the force of the drill and if force is applied to the drill.

Answer:
SDS+ Drills do have this setting, as long as you have the relevant adaptor to convert the SDS+ fitting into a paddle adaptor fitting.

Answer:
Hi, this is an SDS+ drill and is designed to take dedicated SDS+ drill bits and chisels. It does not take convention drill bits without the use of an SDS+ adaptor and chuck like 67460. If you are using the correct SDS+ drill bits, then it may be faulty, and can be returned for a replacement or refund. I hope this information is of help to you.
