I bought these to remove 2 stainless steel studs on my motorbike, after drilling pilot hole to correct size the extractor just refused to bite into metal and actually stripped the threads from the extractor. The metal these are made from are obviously softer than the stainless steel stud. Would not recommend these at all. Tool steel shoud be as hard as taps and dies these are not.

Ordered, delivered (despite the plastic case being smashed) and offending broken stud extracted and all within 24 hours! Well done Screwfix.
Only real complaint is the same as other reviewers: make sure you have some way of turning the smaller sizes of extractor - I ended up using mole grips! How about including some sort of tool for the smallest sizes or perhaps increase the shank size so a socket will fit?

Removed broken/ rusted studs after drilling holes to suit extractor size no problem at all.
Very strong, well made and guaranteed.
Just wish they had a spanner/socket head fitted to them. Other wise handy kit to have in the toolbox.

I bought this to remove a securing screw from a disk brake but the quality of the product meant all that happens is the thread on the stud extractor just wears away. I drilled a bigger pilot hole but still the same with the next stud i tired.
I will be returning this back for a full refund.
